The Queens Botanical Garden is a hidden gem in the middle of Queens, New York. It offers a variety of different tours and membership options to explore its vast collection of plants and trees. The beauty of the garden has been restored to its original state. It is located in Queens, NY. The garden was designed by the Olmsted Brothers. It covers over 32 acres and features over 20,000 plants from all around the world.
It was originally founded by the New York City Parks Department in 1934 as part of an initiative to create more parks in the city. The goal was to provide green spaces for people who lived in densely populated neighborhoods with limited outdoor space.
The Queens Botanical Garden offers many different types of tours and programs for people of all ages. They offer free guided tours on Saturdays at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm as well as free self-guided tours on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm. There are also private group tours available for groups of 15 or more people for a fee. Memberships are available for $100 per person which includes access to the gardens during regular hours.
